The True Source of Beauty

The true Source of beauty is an interactive and creative workshop that brings to light how makeup tells a story of faith, belief and beauty. Commonly, make-up is associated to “covering up” or “masking” beauty. However, this workshop has a different approach and utilizes make-up as a story-teller.

Society’s take on beauty tends to be skin-deep; everything is measured, valued and limited by how much we see externally. However, Pamela Adeyeba - the founder of Unveiling Pearls - is challenging society's definition of beauty to unveil its truest Source, God. Genesis 1: 26 says ‘then God said, “Let Us (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) make man in Our image, according to Our likeness [not physical, but a spiritual personality and moral likeness]" This scripture teaches how we are made in the image of God; thus the same beauty that is in the Creator (God) is also in the created (ourselves). Yet, the question is, how does makeup, beauty, faith and God all relate?
